About the artist…
I didn’t think I would have my own design business, I was all set with a background in primary teaching and a Masters in illustration to write and illustrate children’s books and then the pandemic hit and changed everybody’s plans. I set up Victoria Cox Illustrates in Lockdown at a time when everyone was sending a lot more post than normal because we couldn’t see each other and I haven’t looked back but the absolute dream is to have a children’s book in the shops.
I live in the Suffolk countryside with my husband, 2 children, 2 spaniels and 8 chickens. Im happiest on a dog walk or pottering around the garden with the chickens and I think this influences my children’s book illustration especially.
I offer all sorts of illustration services. If you want bespoke card I can provide anything you need, nothing is off limits and everything is possible, if you want it on a card I can do it for you, I’ll even send it straight to your recipient and sign it for you if that helps! I started with custom cards because I had been making my own greetings cards for friends and family for years so it made sense. I can also provide wedding stationery, table linens, all sorts.
I am so inspired by life around me, particularly nature which you’ll see in my work. I love to paint flowers and leaves in water colours using bright bold colours and shapes. Hopefully by sending one of my cards you’ll be brightening someone’s day with something made just for them.
Everything is designed from my studio in Suffolk. All the cards and stationery are printed in house to keep down costs, keep an eye on quality and be as mindful of our carbon footprint as possible. With this in mind all our packaging is plastic free, recyclable and compostable.
